My first version worked well with some limitations. I made the changes that I felt may lead to improvements.

How is version 2 going?
I have just made a wooden double-bend paddle, with a scooped blade. Hugely improved catch and power phase, but feel the exit is worse..i don´t seem to be able to hold the top speeds as long as with a more conventional paddle. I´d be interested to hear your results - i´m getting the impression that a scoop doesn´t have much benefit...
