The Super Aito 2008 : first day - a 3500 m prologue in the natural harbour of Papeete; won by Bruno Tauhiro, second George Cronstaedt.
The main challenge of the Super Aito 2008 was the round trip between the islands of Tahiti and Moorea.
The first three, Bruno Tauhiro, Manutea Owen and Mike Varney, crossed the channel between Tahiti and Moorea within 2 hours (1h55’12’’ for Bruno Tauhiro who wins this first stage).
2 hours later the return leg is started. In this last stage George Cronstaedt manages to be fourth and wins overall.
